Day Thirty: Kickin’ Recipes

Today’s prompt: Share a favorite recipe.

I have been following a low carb lifestyle.  OK, I’ll be honest, I have fallen off the wagon a bit this holiday season but am getting back to how I should be eating.  I just feel better when I stay away from carbs.

I love Mexican food and discovered this website:
Thanks for such a yummy dish, Vanessa!

Mexican Hash … YUMMY!

Day Twenty-Nine: Sunday Selfie – Future You

Today’s prompt:
We’ve seen you when you’re wee.  We’ve seen you as you were when we began.
Share with us who you aspire to be.
Share a Selfie that tells us something about the person you’re becoming.

This is an easy one for me.  I see myself more active than I have been in the past.  I see myself able to enjoy my family and friends without the worry of not being able to “keep up”, or “will I fit in that seat”.  Yes, this has been a concern in the past.  I will NOT live in fear of sitting down on a chair and breaking it, falling to the ground.  YES, this has also happened in the past.

The future me is the best she can be … not perfect … but happy with me!

Day Twenty-Five: Holiday Traditions

Traditions … such a nice thing to have!  I LOVE to hear about all the various traditions for this time of year.  OK, any time of year!

My household has been a Pagan household since 1999.  But many family members are not, so we have continued with our “Christmas” traditions, as well as the Pagan ones I love.

When the kids were little, they would wake up Christmas morning and sit at the top of the stairs … waiting for the OK to run down and see if Santa had come.

Day Twenty-Three: Books!
Let’s talk about books!

Today’s Blog-a-thon prompt is … books.

Love them!  I don’t have a huge collection here at home anymore (as I use the library, book swaps and e-books mostly), but nothing beats the feel of a real book in your hands!

Can’t say I really have an all-time favorite book.  So, I went upstairs to one of my bookcases and looked to see what caught my eye.  Two books stood out.  Why?  No reason really, but I’d like to share them with you anyway.

First, is a book my older sister sent me in 2001, named Sisters.
