Happy New Year!
Goodness, it has been so long since I have posted here. Do I even have any followers left?
So, what has happened since my last post? Too much to cover in a short blog post, but 2 main highlights were that 2 of my children got married in 2016.

First of all, I hope everyone is having a fabulous Labor Day! If possible, spend time with the ones you love and be grateful for the people that bring joy to your life.
My 100+ Journey – Day One … What does DAY ONE mean?
To many people, day one of a new life journey might involve following a plan that has been carefully devised. Preparation has been completed and they are READY to begin!
Well …. I AM READY to begin. I am … and I’m not.
Very uncharacteristically of me, I have NOT prepared, shopped, prepped food and/or put together a workout schedule, etc. In fact, the other night I was sitting at my computer working and not feeling well. I had carb overloaded from my food intact that day and my legs and feet were swollen. It hit me that I HAD to do something and make a change.
I have a hidden (OK maybe not hidden, and in fact … very obvious if you have seen me in the last few months) “secret”. I have gained back much of the weight I lost … again! Yes, like so many other people on this horrible roller coaster, I am back up to 300 pounds. Now before I am sanctioned by the blog police for being redundant with my words, let me explain.

Happy Holidays to all!
Let’s Get Moving Tip for Today involves gimmicks vs. tools.
How many of us have seen commercials for the “latest and greatest” weight loss or exercise item?
Use “XO 1000” and you will have washboard abs in only one week!
Take this miracle pill and lose 100 pounds in 3 months … with absolutely no diet or exercise!
We have all seen them and some of us have secretly bought them, hoping for that miracle.
Here is some advice that will cost you NOTHING! Clean up your diet, move your body and your health will improve!
Now, I do not promise that you will have washboard abs, or lose a ton of weight in a week or even have a “perfect” body. (And if you spend most of your time on the couch with a processed snack in your hand, I can almost guarantee you will not.) For some though, “perfection” is not their goal. They (me included) simply want to live a healthy and active life and enjoy what ever time we have on this earth.
